I let my sister use my computer for 30 minutes. I immediatly noticed something was different. I look in my taskmanger and I see about 30 spyware processes. Lesson of the story, Never let anyone use your computer.

Blaze -- you shouldn't give anybody access to your computer on an "Administrator" account, but that should be obvious.  I'd NEVER give somebody I don't trust a "root" account, it's just dumb

(or, to make an assumption, why don't you have a password on ALL administrator accounts?)

I have no reason to lock people out of anything, if anything goes wrong I just reimage my harddrive.

You seem to have a pretty good reason, considering the entire situation!

And I doubt you have up-to-the-minute images.  It's not like having "/home" on a different harddrive -- if you have to re-image, you'll probably lose at least a week of work

I usually save my projects onto my USB pen which is only inserted when I save/open a file. Which is handy for when I go to school to work on my stuff. I also archive my vb work every month onto my website.

But anyway, don't trust a USB stick 100%.  They can get damaged, lost, or corrupted very easily. 

I personally CVS all my work.  It's handy if I want to work on stuff at school.  I even keep my school stuff on cvs so I can easily continue homework that I started at school
