I don't think there's any difference, I think the temporary 3 month one was just to give the city time to get a court date setup. I've been driving alone increasingly, and I think I might be getting a car as a suprise for Christmas. Dunno. One restriction though is only 1 non-sibling passenger in the car at a time. This is a widely broken rule though. =\

Bah. I'm 17 and still don't have my permit. But I wouldn't have any use for one as I'd never be able to drive anyways and if I ever want a car it's going to have to be bought with my own money. And I don't have any. And I don't have a job. And then it kind of loops back on itself, because in order to get a job I would need transportation, but since I can't get a car, and I live with just my mom who works 12 hour shifts a few days a week for one job and then spends pretty much the rest of the time doing real estate stuff, I'm pretty much screwed. Maybe if they turn that place down the street into a walgreens like they're supposed to there will be something within walking distance. Bah. Damn all you people.
