I agree, I'd rather own.

Dunno, but a bigger problem there is hurricanes. So, what happens if the joint gets blown over/washed away.

I don't know what kind of insurance owners get and whatnot, but I don't think they'd be reimbursed. At my grandparents in Atlantic Beach a while ago they went bankrupt so all the owners had to pull together and pay off the places debt in order to keep their property and avoid losing everything.

When you steal music, the other people still have it, and nobody loses anything.  Nobody makes extra money, but nobody is losing. 

When you steal, say, liquor, somebody is losing a noticeable amount.  When it happens frequently, it causes problems.
