QuoteSYDNEY, Australia - Steve Irwin, the quirky Australian naturalist who won worldwide acclaim, has died in a marine accident off Australia's northeast coast, local media reported on Monday.
Say it with me:

I always thought he would get eaten by a crock. Oh well, this sucks, I liked the guy.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Actually, I was surprised. Despite all the things he did that definately endangered his life, he wasn't exactly the kind of person you could imagine being killed by an animal. How many people do you think would have imagined him being killed by a crocodile or some other animal while making a clip for a TV show?

Killed by a sting ray, wow... wasn't expecting that.

Definitely a fitting (if much too early) end to a pretty impressive life.

shouldnt it be more to his left...I thought it pierced his heart
Eh, close enough.

On a technical note, your heart is located pretty much in the middle of your chest, to the left of your chest you have a big "in-flow" artery that's why when you place your hand on the left side of your chest you can feel something pumping (thumping).
