I must have some sort of odd process running or something because everytime I try to shut down my computer it takes minutes before it gets all the way shutdown.

The computer itself doesnt run any slower.

Anyone know of a good diagnostic thing I can run that will tell me what each process is & does?

Also, a registry cleanup is inorder for me I believe, any suggestions?

Grab Process Explorer from www.sysinternals.net.  It'll list all running processes.  If there's any that you don't know what they are, Google them.
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

I saw this a while back on systems which had pagefile clearing enabled.  Windows would spend a great deal of time wiping the pagefile before it finally shut down.

Format, re-install Windows, and start over.

That always works :)

Got a nice nasty gram from someone. No it wasn't anyone from this site.

Im sure you could download an .ISO of it, and make yourself a cd. Just use warezp2p or shareaza, and mabye winmx if you plan on waiting along with MIRC. I'll even help ya out, give you some keys to use along with any of them.

keys removed kthx -joe

Oh dear God, Invert is going to have your ass!

By the way, you're going to want to use WinXP Corp if you're going to pirate it. They don't check if the key has already been used (it's a site license or something), plus its better than Pro, I think (or just as good). If you need some keys, contact me.. I'm sure my sources can 'generate' a few leads.

Lol! Nice way to put it :p
Btw, I'd reccomend Windows Media Edition over anything.
