No, in fact in the First Persian Gulf War the US (and many other "civilized"/modern/western/whatever) countries aided Iraq, which was fighting Iran.

I think Iran is more anti-US than Venezuela.  I've read quote from their new president (whom was one of the terrorists involved in taking hostages @ the US embassy in the 80s?) thats says the US should be wiped from the face of the earth (basically)
