As UserLoser has shown me, JBLS is crap (assumes things it shouldn't to start), and not to mention that it doesn't support hashing old-style clients with BNLS_HASHDATA
Me and God_Of_Slayers got The-Fool to add this. Maybe if you annoy him enough he'll release the version we have.

And what's wrong with using Windows 2000 as your server OS?

That's a thread all by itself, but we won't bother with all the details.  Basically, Windows XP SP2 (according to a Microsoft security guy that came to our work) was just 200MB of security fixes.  These fixes aren't included in 2k or nt.  Some problems (like the infamous iframe exploit, among others) don't affect SP2, which means they made security fixes that were unannounced, which means that 2k has a lot of security holes that they haven't announced yet.
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

Sorry, I generalized a bit, but it seems to be whenever you flame a specific version of Windows, you're just talking about Windows in general.  :)

Yeah BNLS has been down for more than days now I believe.

NOONE I've talked to on BNet has been able to logon with Stealtbot with BNLS.  Nor have I been able to work on my bot with BNLS.

Damn it sucks.  Goes to show how many people are reliant on BNLS.

What are you doing using an internet browser on a machine that probably shouldn't even be logged into interactively?

After 3 years, it's on the horizon.  The new JinxBot, and BN#, the managed Battle.net Client library.

You've just located global warming.

UserLoser.

Hash Warcraft III?  Warcraft III.exe?  What/why would you hash it?

So wait a second... I was talking to some of my clan members who were also complaining about BNLS being down and I told them that only the guys who run BNLS (Yoni and Skywing I believe) are the only non-blizzard persons to have successfully hashed Warcraft III passwords...

So is this guys, The-Fool or w/e has also hashed Warcraft III passwords?

Lemme get this straight, JBLS can be run as a local server... meaning it runs on your computar.  Wouldn't it be faster that BNLS since it runs on your computar?  Where can I get it?

* Sorc.Polgara = noob

JBLS was made using stolen code (I think), other people have made war3 bots that do not require the use of BNLS though.  iago's Java Op for example.

As for the JBLS question, it wouldn't really be faster, and it would require you use a bot that runs off of that server.

JBLS is legit...

Why bother with BNLS, just wait for it to come back in a few hours/days?

Yes, it's legit based on my opensource code.

That was an example, there have been several vulnerabilities found since the release of SP2 that affect SP1 and not SP2.  That means that they fixed holes without announcing them in SP2.  Having known and unannounced vulnerabilities is extremely scary.

Yes, you can't have everybody...contributing to the main source repository.  That would be stupid and create chaos.

Opensource projects...would be dumb.

There was one that wasn't, I assumed that was it. Sorry sir.

R.a.B.B.i.T

JBLS is simple, though: run it, connect, close it.  You can set the BNLS server on a lot of bots nowadays, so just running JBLS with the server set to 127.0.0.1/localhost is enough, you don't actually have to try and find a JBLS server.
