Grok:
I was just hoping it was possible.  Instead, I just added a hidden column.

RealityRipple:
Thanks for that, but I was hoping to use the built in VB stuff.  I'll check out your example later though.

Visual Basic Programming / Sorting VB6 ListViews
March 21, 2006, 11:03 AM
Hey all, Haven't been around in a while.

Quick question.  I've done some searching on google, and within this form, and haven't found an answer.

Using VB6, does anybody know if it's possible to sort a ListView by it's Tag property?

I know how to sort by any of the viewable columns, that's easy, but I can't seem to find any way to sort by tag.

Thanks,
Glenn

Did the link completely solve your problem?

between that, and a project that someone had already done, I was able to solve it.

Thanks   :D

Heya,

I've spent about 4 hours searching through google, and I haven't been able to find anything but .NET stuff.

Anyone have anything (even sample code) to programmatically set NTFS permissions on a w2k or XP machine?  I'm trying to avoid calling cacls.exe from a shell.

Thanks in advance

Edit: Just found this link: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=644287

I need to do 2 tasks:
1. Find the size of a Public Folder (including all sub-folders).
2. Find the size of each individual users personal mailbox.

we are running Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 machine.  Has anyone ever come across any way to do this?  I've been looking all afternoon with not much help at all.

Thanks...

Btw, I think anarchy is the stupidist idea and I have no idea why people would want it.

People think anarchy is stupid because they don't understand it.  It's not all about chaos, destruction, and disorder.      :P

That's one crazy game of poker there!

I like fresh creek/small river fishing.  We were back packing when I was 11? with the scout tropp when I caught my first fish.  Gutted it & clean off the skin, cooked it in foil w/butter & lemon salt...WAY good.  Could just peel the bone right out of the trout after it was cooked.

yumm!  your makin me hungry.

That's the kinda stuff I love to do.  Too bad I don't know anybody that likes to spend more than a minute outdoors   :(  Stupid lousy computers!

My personal best was a triple digit Marlin... now there is a fight.

I'd love to go marlin fishing!
One day when I have a decent amount of cash I'll take my dad on a charter to do some big-time fishing like that.

I miss goin out to BC.  We would trap crab and prawns, then clean and eat them fresh at the campsite.  Then of course fishing for Salmon, Cod, and Halibut   :)

Good times

This is the ONLY FULL NFL game I've ever watched (including past super bowls)...guess it wasn't a FULL game cause I went & ate dinner (that killed about 15 minutes).  Oh well, this game WAS a disappointment, it got a LITTLE better @ the end...too bad the never looked @ the clock & realized, "hey, we should hurry"
You should have watched the Patriot's first super bowl win.  The first half was the most intense football I've ever seen (disclaimer:  I really don't watch that much football).

Or just watch CFL football.  That's much more exciting than NFL...

I never understood the intrigue of freshwater fishing, I don't get the same kind of fight I find in saltwater fish.

obviously you haven't done any real freshwater fishing!   LOL    :)  Good ole Sturgeon, Pike, Musky, an Catfish...good fights.  Plus you use lighter gear, so it's harder to bring the fish up.

Actually, I agree, saltwater fishing is much better than freshwater.  But when you don't live on the coast, freshwater is much easier and more convenient.  My dad caught a 96 lb. Halibut a couple years ago in BC, now THAT was excitement!

The rangers and stuff are part of "Manitoba Fisheries", which is provincial.  I don't know how it's done in Ontario.

Each province has it's on rules and regulations (including size and quantity limits).
I haven't gone fishing in Manitoba for about 5 years, but I always go to Kenora in the summer   :)
