What's a Welsh accent sound like?
Wasn't Australia once a colony of Britain? Couldn't you then arguably say that Austrailians have a British accent? What about South Africa?
English.
hej,
im from brittan. and there is no english accent. every region has its own dialect ???
I still like Swedish or Danish or Hollish accents the best in europe. But yeah, the Scots sound the coolest in Britian.

It's true, we do have varying accents depending on the region you live in. I'm from London (or a 'Southerner'). I'm guessing from the link in vonLandenhausen's site, that he's from Stoke (a 'Northerner'). Robbie Williams (not really made it big in the US, but you may have heard of him?) is from Stoke. London accents are very 'neutral' and typically what Americans would describe as 'British' or 'English'.
For the record, Britain is spelt 'Britain', not 'Brittan' as suggested. Then again, he is a northerner...

Nah most foreigners mean the accent from shows like ER and friends and shit. The fake british acent. You have cockney accent im guessing Arta. I thought you lived more south than than London, near Brighton.
The Helen Baxendale 'English' accent is really not how we all speak. Unfortunately, that appearing in Friends does nothing to dispel the rumours....

Yes sober Irish exist. Irish just like to celebrate their "victories". :)
Do they have 365 victories ? ;)
I'm not at all cockney. My accent's a bit posh by uk standards. I was under the impression that americans think we all speak like that :)
