English
Scottish
Welsh
Irish

This is a tough one. They're all so cool-sounding. ;)

I gave it to the Scottish. Nothing sounds cooler than an angry Scotsman.

What's a Welsh accent sound like?

Wasn't Australia once a colony of Britain?  Couldn't you then arguably say that Austrailians have a British accent?  What about South Africa?

I still like Swedish or Danish or Hollish accents the best in europe.  But yeah, the Scots sound the coolest in Britian.

It's true, we do have varying accents depending on the region you live in.  I'm from London (or a 'Southerner'). I'm guessing from the link in vonLandenhausen's site, that he's from Stoke (a 'Northerner'). Robbie Williams (not really made it big in the US, but you may have heard of him?) is from Stoke. London accents are very 'neutral' and typically what Americans would describe as 'British' or 'English'.

For the record, Britain is spelt 'Britain', not 'Brittan' as suggested. Then again, he is a northerner...

My accent is best, of course!  8)

I have what I would guess Americans would call a British accent. Quite BBC, with an occasional, subtle bouquet of South London :)

vonLandenhausen
