PNG is typically not much better than BMP for size, in a large screenshot.

I seem to remember that .tif are HUGE++. Let me check..
Ok, for a screenshot of a mostly empty screen (my background is plain blue):
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 3.0M 2005-05-08 14:33 test.bmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 33K 2005-05-08 14:33 test.gif

-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 5.9M 2005-05-08 14:34 test.tif
And for a screenshot of my bot:
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 3.0M 2005-05-08 14:35 test.bmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 86K 2005-05-08 14:35 test.gif
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 489K 2005-05-08 14:35 test.jpeg
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 126K 2005-05-08 14:35 test.png
-rw-r--r-- 1 iago users 5.9M 2005-05-08 14:35 test.tif
I was obviously wrong about .png. But apparently, .gif is the best. One thing about .bmp and .tif is that they're consistant :)
When I saved my bmp in paint as a png it only took off .7 mb. I am guessing it all depends on the saving application?
Could be, I used "import" to take the screenshots. It's part of ImageMagick.

Edit: Before you ask; the purpose of the name is to signify that the bot would be constantly changing and being updated, which so far it has been.

I presume for the same reason you'd write a console app in any other language.

It just seems counter-productive to me to do it in VB.
The only reason I like VB is because of how easy it is to make a nice GUI quickly and easily.

It seemed like it would be amusing.
There's nothing wrong with having a console application in visual basic. You wouldn't want an interface for something to run hardly noticeable in the background.
There is no Alt+Enter for Win32 GUI's. There is, however, for Win32 Consoles.

It's a bot Mangix, a bot.
There are bots that play Counter-Strike :)
There are bots that play SC as well ;)
Does the bot actually do anything other then join the game?
I have no idea, I know wc3js actually plays games.

I suggest we have a little vote on the best bot look and go on from there. Since i created this topic i will choose a few bots to vote on.
Please review this topic and vote on the following:
Top 3 Best Looking Bots
And we will go on from there.
My top 3: IN ORDER
1.) PandaChat
2.) Basic Binary Bot
3.) ZakBot
I don't feel like going back through all the topics to find the one I'm thinking of, but I think Lord's bot looked nice and clean.

You can speak your mind, as long as you are correct.

Why am i so wrong? Whats your top 3 then...
Of course opinions can be wrong. In my opinion, my laptop is secure. If it gets hacked, then obviously my opinion was wrong.
Opinions can never be right or wrong. You're still able to have the opinion that your laptop is secure even if it is compromised. When it is, you only re-evaluate your previous opinion. In other words, you simply change your mind. Secure defined by you isn't necessarily secure defined by another.
In my opinion, even facts are debateable mainly because all facts eventually rely on shaky assumptions. But I won't get into that :)
Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true.
That's what a fact is :\
I agree with his #1 choice, at least. =)

I really used to like the look and feel of damnbot. Since damnbot no longer works, I remade it again for myself. Since I really don't have a lot of time to sit and program in C++ for hours on end - it has been a ongoing effort for the past year probably.
I guess I should give it a little attention soon, and make it look semi-nice. Everything works though - and thats a big pet peeve of mine when something doesnt work.

I saw no sarcasm in Invert's post.
