That simply indicates that Bush makes it easier for people to understand what he's saying than Kerry does.

We talked about these kinds of things in my Psych and Int'l Relations class.  Kerry has more of what is called "cognitive complexity," which means he considers more things at a time than Bush does when calculating a cost-benefit analysis.  The drawbacks to this include potentially taking more time to calculate a cost-benefit, and factoring things that do not have an actual bearing on the outcome.  The drawback for Bush is that he ends up relying more on heuristics and other assumptions when calculating cost-benefit, which can be okay, but increase odds of miscalculation; however, the bonus is that he comes to conclusions generally faster, which is important in an emergency.

Bush also formulates sentences in a Subject->Verb->Object sort of way, which is easy for people to digest.  Kerry likes to add all kinds of extra conditionals and dependent clauses, in a manner similar to what I'm doing right now.  It makes you sound intelligent, but it can alienate people, and it's harder to keep up.  That doesn't mean that either person is incorrect; it simply means the Bush campaign was able to reach more people.

Did you hear that of the 18 candidates for Congress that the NRA supported, 14 were elected, whereas of the 27 supported by MoveOn.org, only 5 were elected?  :P

Yay for Virginia being the smartest Bush state. :D

That would be like posting "States that at one time seceeded from the Union, and who they voted for." Coincidence.

Additionally, questionably-sourced. Also doesn't take into account immigrant population, especially in places like Florida and Texas. An important fact that many overlook this time around is that some 42% of the hispanic vote went to Bush, compared with 35% in 2000 (which at the time was unheard-of in national elections).

There was no way in hell of Kerry getting Texas.

I would like to know how they got this statistic. Was that a question in those wonderful exit polls? What is your iq?

Above link is utter crap and anyone who disagrees owes me 1 point of IQ.

EDIT: If you STILL disagree please click on the first link on the Google search for the query "average iq by state":

By the way, IQ in general is bullshit, but that discussion is off-topic in this forum...

If the average citizen in the United States is "stupid", we don't need someone that they can't understand leading the country.

Just let this Bush vs Kerry shit die.

Where's that from?

I'd assume a place less biased than your source.
