I cleaned out the spyware problem around the same time I took the screenshot. CookiePatrol is a spyware cookie eliminator in the product PestPatrol. I hate it, but I use it. So eh?

Falcon, it was one tab, but it was a horridly coded Java Applet, and it decided eating RAM was a fun thing to do.

You should know better than to leave a language like Java enabled!  Turn that off and you'll feel much cleaner.

I totally agree! I hate Java. It's an ugly, fat language. I yelled at iago afterwards, saying "If java is so l33t why does it consume massive amounts of RAM?!?!" and he blamed it on Java applets.

The applet was for Topcoder.com too...I didn't get to challenge zorm or Eibro or anybody!

EDIT -- The only thing I use that is Java now is iago's JBBot as a chat client for Linux. I can't find a good C/C++ one that can run in Linux. So really, it's either something or nothing.
