After reading a /. article about xpde, I tried it out.  Yep it sucks!
Here is a screen shot.
Most of the clickey things don't work and check out the cpu utilization.  Not only is the graph upside down but I'm running 432%  I be smoking these dual 800s baby!
That sucking sound you hear is my bandwidth.
