I hope you find it fun when someone shoots up your school. Through out highschool I have to say I was nice to everyone -- popular or not. I don't believe you should put anyone through that kind of hell.

Fortunately, it seems like most of the people like that either change or drop out (or find something better to do) before college. At least, that's been my experience.

Agreed.

In highschool, at least here, people weren't TOO different, and nobody made fun of anybody else, but, that being said, some people were "popular" and some weren't. I never could figure out how it worked, I guess I'm lacking in the social department.

Now that I'm in university, it doesn't really turn out like that. Instead of social cliques, people in different subjects tend to gravitate together; most CS people tend to hang out, engineering have their building, Math and CS and Physics each have a floor and a common area where everybody tends to keep to themselves.

But these differences are more for convenience than anything else. Everybody in University interact fairly well, not like highschool

That said, if I could get 82 in P.E. last semester, anyone can.

I hate football in PE, I like the game, but not in PE. The students are far too biased when it comes to who will receive the ball.

Back to the subject of Goths, because I have a revelation last night:

Dressing/acting the way they do is a choice. They don't wake up one morning wearing black clothes and facepaint and are stuck with it the rest of their lives. And they don't do it because they think it will make them popular. They do it to stand out and look weird, so they really oughtn't be surprised when they get picked on. It seems to me that they WANT to get picked on!

Just because someone is different, doesn't mean they should get made fun of.

I enjoy standing out and having people notice me rather than being another peon, just my personal opinion.
