So I installed CS recently and wanted to play myself a game of 1.6. To my surprise the mode which the graphics were rendered was in "software". Obviously this is uber stressing on valuable pc processing power where it could be spare by the aid of open gl.

Unfortunately when I select to run Opengl mode it does not comply and suggests that such a mode is not supported.

I reinstalled and updated my drivers and deleted previous video drivers as well (because I have an onboard Intel.)

I have tested that my open gl works and it does with an program I found online.

Computer Stats.
600 Mhz Intel Processor.
128 GeForce Mx400 Nvidia.
512 RAM.

That's about all that matters. Besides Windows Server 2003 Ent. Edition.

Any takers?
Need any more info?
Reply back! :)

Just a suggestion, but if you're using the default drivers, you may wanna try http://omegadrivers.net (if your card is supported by it). Also... why are you playing games on a Server OS?

Because it can be used as a desktop system also...

Perhaps you didn't know this...?

Orly?

Server Operating systems are usually more designed for use as servers, not clients. I know quite a few programs that don't work well on server OS's. Also, all the extra server applications may slow down other, more client-based programs. Using a server OS on a client just doesn't make sense to me.

Windows 2003 is more advanced than XP. It's a better system to use, and Vista is not an option due to price and the intense hardware requirements. There are only a few main server related utilities on 2003 that can easily be disabled. I also had a link (I lost it, but it shouldn't be hard to find) that gave a little tutorial on how to turn your Windows 2003 Server into a Windows 2003 Desktop. It can be done very easily.

And you're going to shell out the $1000 to get Windows Server 2003?  Or $4000 to get Server 2003 Enterprise?

Since you shelled out the money you're entitled to Microsoft support incidents.  I suggest calling them.
