How to set my avatar to a picture linked outside of this server? I don't see the option anywhere in my profile options to change it... I remember it being there.

It kinda looks like you're using a different skin then I, but I don't know if you can even change the skin, but if its possible, try that

I doubt its the skin, probably some sort of filter is setup for his username.
