If this was build a one petabyte desktop, I'd be impressed. But I'm not. :|

I wouldn't. I'm rather sure they'll be standard issue by 2015.

I dont even think we'll be using standard circutry anymore by 2015.  :P

Something can only run so fast before it reaches its limit

It seems inefficient to write instructions on how to build a terabyte machine.  You'd have to write seperate instructions for each person's space requirements and hardware type.  What if I wanted to build a 1.5 TB system using only SCSI or IDE drives?  I couldn't.  I'd have to find new instructions.  Perhaps this article would be more helpful.

Hah tazo, took me three reads and reading the quote before I realized you said Nigers, not niggers. =p

GNU/Linux sucking:

QuoteOpenBSD developer Bob Beck said it's hard to get quality code out of the Linux development model where features are added from a random bunch of maintainers doing stuff on their own.

Why are string.h, malloc.h and other standard libraries in /usr/include/linux?
Simple, Linux sucks.

terabyte by 2015? try 07 or 08 easy. I mean it isnt exactly a technical or financial hurdle to get that extra space. Hell I wouldnt be supprised if hard disks are obsolete by 2015... they are making some amazing advances in flash memory capacity, which is of course much more durable and fast.
