Anybody want to work on a (I guess you could call it advanced) Java project with me?
If you do, email me at [email protected] or AIM me at sparky71989.
We can discuss and agree upon what this project will be via the above.

I would like to work with someone who is familiar with Java and well-read in OOP.
That way it will ease the "team development," as OOP inherently does.

Why don't you say what the project is related to?  That way we can decide if we are interested.

The purpose was to come up with one together as well as work on it together.
But, if you would like me to list my interests...

Something client and/or server related
An Instant Messenging or Email Program sounds interesting
Making games are usually boring... but perhaps a game

rabbit

Like make a program that will browse the internet looking for tutorials and will learn and start programming in C.  That would be fun ^^
Grif: Yeah, and the people in the red states are mad because the people in the blue states are mean to them and want them to pay money for roads and schools instead of cool things like NASCAR and shotguns.  Also, there's something about ketchup in there.

Now that I think about it I get more and more interested in doing either an instant messenging or email program.
Does this appeal to anyone?

Islam is a steaming pile of fucking dog shit. Everything about it is flawed, anybody who believes in it is a terrorist, if you disagree with me, then im sorry your wrong.

Why don't you stop being American and start acting like a decent human?

Dynobird

Sure, anything, the fun will be in the team development!
So, Warrior, would you like to do that? If so my contact info is above.

It would be nice if a lot of other people join in, it can be a simulation of a professional programming environment (well, this may be strong, but I know I haven't had any experience in team programming, have you?)

If you actually get this off the ground, I strongly suggest you look into using a version control system.  It'll let you manage changes more effectively, and figure out quickly (possibly even automatically) whose fault a bug is. :)  I recommend Subversion (free).  Clients available for Windows and most Unices.  Server runs on Unix, might run on Windows (never tried).  Client could probably be built on a Mac OSX.  No idea if it'll work on more ancient Macs. :)

Problem is, I have no stable PC right now. I'd also have to brush up on my Java since iirc last time I did java was to write my bot.
