softpedia is the one that has the dl(not that softpedia doesnt use an external mirror for the dl. they host it on their servers)

edit:btw the new winamp's ability to change songs owns. when you click the Next button, it does sort of a fadeout to the previous one and plays the next one while it fades out. it really owns

That isn't new... crossfade has been around since winamp2.

Nullsoft is a software house founded in 1997 by Justin Frankel. Its most famous products include the Winamp media player and the SHOUTcast MP3 streaming media server. In recent years, their open-source installer system, NSIS, has also risen to popularity as a widely used alternative to commercial products like InstallShield. The company's name is a parody of Microsoft, deriving from the fact that null is smaller than micro. Mike the Llama is the company's mascot; this is frequently referred to in promotional material (especially for Winamp) citing llamas.

Their latest developments included the Nullsoft Streaming Video (NSV) format, which was intended to stream media that uses any audio or video codec. NSV is currently being used in a venture named "Nullsoft Television", and in the Ultravox system, which is under development. Nullsoft is also famous for the creation of Gnutella and WASTE.

Nullsoft was sold to America Online on June 1, 1999, and from that point on existed as one of its subsidiaries. On November 11, 2004, news broke that AOL had disbanded the team, leaving only three Nullsoft employees. These were unsubstantiated rumours relating to the recent departure of several key members in the months before. Nullsoft is now a division of AOL Music.
