:) :) :)
What exactly do you mean by that? How are brests actually useful except for maybe feeding a small child? I mean they might be pleasing to look at but what can you actually do with them that is useful?

You just thought about a red hammer, didn't you?

If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have a different, if not abnormal, mind.

98% of the folks would answer a red hammer while doing this exercise.

My answer was "blue hammer," but everyone I've had do this so far has picked "hammer" as their tool, most of them picking red for the color.

Hm.. Interesting, I must be very abnormal. I thought of a purple wrench

Adron

I'd say it's all a trick with making people proceed before the answer has cleared in their mind. At the time you read "red hammer" on the next line, you haven't actually answered the question yet. And so, what color and tool would you think about if you've just read the words "red hammer" ? :)

Those 98% who agree that they thought of red hammer just used their read-ahead capabilities. If you wanted to really check this, you'd put a lot of space between the question and the words, or a couple more mathematical questions before the comments.

I scrolled slowly & didnt notice that red hammer line

I agree... it makes sense that "hammer" would be the most popular choice of tool, but the "red" part doesn't connect with the test, except that it is very close to the question asking you what you're thinking of...

Also, I don't think 98% of people tested thought "red hammer" initially.  Look at the responses in this thread; of about 15 people, 3 people (being generous) initially thought something like "red hammer".

I don't know that everyone here is as average as the people the test gauged....maybe

Regardless of how unusual we are, our 3/16 (19%), is too far away from 98% for that claim to, even by exercising some imagination, be true at all.  I doubt 81% of us are part of that "2%" of people that for some odd reason (sarcasm) don't think "red hammer".

True true.  Maybe they tested children after hitting the children with a red hammer?
