Not to belittle the serious lameness of releasing someone's source code without permission, but a good portion of it (if not all) was intended to be released eventually anyway.  Furthermore, I think the fact that it was done speaks highly of the group that accomplished it.  Goes to show that with a few months, even those of us who aren't experts at reversing can turn out a desirable project.  I know Madd0x, UserLoser, iago, TheMinistered, and Arta (and anyone else I forgot) all worked hard on turning Warcraft III's logon into something that everyone could use.  So while I think that GosuGaming made the wrong choice to release this to the public, I hope that the project itself reflects the abilities of the people in this community.

I don't think Gosu has the brains to even fathom stealing it. Someone most likely gave it to him.

Whoever gave it to him obviously used him as a way to release it without receiving any blame because I highly doubt anyone who already had the War3 hashing functions would be stupid enough to give it to someone like GoSuGaMiNG without some reasoning behind it.

GoSU, you did exactly as the person that gave you the functions wanted, and now you'll be paying for it for some time to come.  Goodjob, chump.

One of the first things I heard about when I got back from vacation today was iago telling me about this. You're even more of a lamer now GosuGaming. I'm pro-open source, but not when it's stolen/against the authors wishes.  

Large difference between open and stolen.
Gosu I can comprehend most text on the forum just not yours. At least you tried to put together a whole sentance though. I really was expecting a STFU or something of that nature.
