Quote from: j0k3r on May 18, 2004, 07:10 PMI get money right now by selling D2 stuff to morons on ebay (over $1000 in the past 6 months, better than a real job where I live), and during the summer I might work as a monkey in the IT department for the company my dad works for.

$1k in 6 months is better than a 'real job'? I'm assuming part time since you're in 11th grade. I remember in 11th grade I worked at Chili's the restraunt and had around $2k in probably less than 6 months.

heh, I used to make that much in a week :)

My net worth increased 1% between 9:30 ET and lunch, without doing a thing.  The stock market is on a roll.

BUT in the stock market it could also DECREASE twice that in half the time.

None of my friends make that much in 6months, they have part time jobs. The idea of a part time job is so that you work some of the time, not all of your free time, no one works over 5 hours/week.

I think the occupation was terrible, and the Cardassians should have stayed on their own goddamn planet instead of enslaving the Bajorans.

lmao, I was just watching DS9 recently.  Kira is hot, especially with that nose.   :o

Anyway, I'm a student @ Arizona State University, majoring in Political Science (emphasis in Public Policy Analysis), minors in Psychology and Spanish.  I work for the Parks and Recreation Dept. of the city I live in, which pays ~$12k/yr part-time, as well as officiate youth hockey for the Phoenix Ice Hockey Referees' Association, which is about $300-$400 cash monthly on average.

After college I hope to go into military intelligence doing international policy analysis.

You're right, CrAz3D, but it could also increase quadruple that in one-eighth of the time.  It matters little, I think, what COULD happen, as opposed to what DOES happen.

Wow, I'm really surprised that not more of you are involved in a computer-related field or are studying to be a computer engineer/scientist. It seems the bnet crowd takes programming as much more of a hobby than I expected. Me, I'll be going to Rensselaer Polytechnic in NY starting this August where I will hopefully complete a dual major in ECE and CS. I don't mean to say that what you guys have chosen is bad or not cool, I just always felt the majority of you were obsessed with computers and would therefore pursue it as a career and not just a great hobby.

Meh

Im a student. I have a 2 paper rounds. I was going to persue a career in the Police but have found out that film studios are opening near where I live and are meant to be the "HollyWood" of Wales, so I may get a job as a director or something. :P
