easy way to find out what monitor i have???

I just put that it's an LCD and specified the maximum resolution it would support.  For example, my laptop is an HP Pavilion zd7010, it has an LCD widescreen supporting up to 1440x900.  That's what I put.

I might be wrong, but you could also say the maximum frequency it supports as well, and maybe the amount of colors it is able to display and the quality of that color (16 bit or 32-bit)

Anaconda, the Fedora Core 5 installer (which is why CrAz3D is asking this question), didn't get that granular.
