WHY on EARTH would you want to move the spaceport after 10 years of research has gone into picking the current site?
All of the big companies want new facilities.  Old renovated buildings don't look as good to multi-millionaires who will be flying into space & dropping tons of cash in New Mexico.

It understanbdalbe that it would save the tax payers in the short term, but if we do what the companies want we get more volume.
More volume = more taxes, yay for MUCHO money coming into New Mexico, espeically southern New Mexico.

Then he is probably a stupid kid.

This spaceport thing is set up to bring hundreds of millions of dollars to New Mexico.

If he doesn't care he shouldn't be alive, harsh but slightly true

Grok

They're all idiots and all caving to politics and money.  The best location for a spaceport is near the equator.  It saves energy and money for the near-term and long-term.  Put it in Brazil.

We're going to look like idiots when aliens visit our planet and we have spaceports so far from the equator.
