I need cold hard facts, and references that show that Canada is Socialist.  I need to own somone in a test of wit, hurry. links pls, or references.

Canada isn't really true socalist, look more at sweden or the netherlands for that.

We could say plenty of countries have some socialist tendancies.

Including the United States in some respects.  Technically speaking, public education is socialist.

Indeed. Welfare too. I'm going to enjoy you guys advocating Bush's plan to make his republican buddies rich by privatising social security. Well, not exactly enjoy, but you know what I mean.

What exactly are you talking about? Social security is going to kill it's self and take our economy with it if we let it continue on the way it is.

Depending upon HOW they plan to privatise SS, I might be fine with it.  Anyone know HOW it is planned to be restructured?

There were plenty of different plans mentioned. One was just a simple trust fund type of deal, the other was the government investing the money. I think that the government should not invest the money because the government has traditionally been a very bad investor. I think a bank account with some money going into bonds and mutual funds at the owner's (well person who will get the money) request is one possible good solution.
