I'm confused.

You cant put AIM Logs on the internet for the public to see unless the user says that it is ok... you can get sued for that

This is true, I saw it in the paper

Still reading it, but it's not bad. Don't like how King introduces himself into the storyline though, damn egotistical thing to do.

I believe know Sqiggles is topaz, come back on a different name. It's only a (rather long) matter of time before an admin finally bans him. Perhaps we could get his IP range this time?

Brew tries, but that's about it.

I gotta say, you're a pretty useless member too. I mean, it's not to say you suck at life (which you really do, and this is not one of those times where I giggle and laugh and point - there is real pity here), since that doesn't really have anything to do with what I just said, but you've got close to 2700 posts and roughly half of them are filled with speculation or are otherwise just trash posts.

I mean, I have to work towards making nonsense posts, but you do it with such ease and keep a straight face while doing it too, acting as though you actually know or do half the things you think you believe you know and can do (which is to say, you're completely oblivious to how much of a stuttering moron you are).

Every once in a while, you go off and make a completely hilarious post which I have to reference here, for posterity:

Then go program something that makes you look older than 3. You've yet to do that.

I could understand if someone who had actually completed (I stress completed) anything even remotely useful had said that, but it really doesn't mean a lot when a guy who spends most of his time rebuilding the same bot half a dozen times across multiple languages (code base which eventually boils down to the same rubbish, since you are after all a terrible programmer) bashes you

Then the rest of your time is spent sucking up to various senior members of this board who you seem to think to be gods of de programming world (and you might even be right, if their skills are contrasted with your own), making nonsense posts like:

@brew: Rabbit's coding is amazing. Have you ever seen any of his work? Back when I was learning VB6 and how to work with the Battle.net protocol, his projects made a great reference in clean and proper coding.

I'm sure I could go on, but the rest of it's a lot less interesting than the above

Why, that's not right at all. That topaz fellow seems like an amicable chap, and all of you seem to think I'm a troll. Where'd you get that idea?

The server that acts as your proxy might be dropping packets, or you've implemented the protocol incorrectly

None of my USB ports get power, the light for my Ethernet cable does not light up, and my monitor claims it has no signal input.  One day I came home from work and this is what I saw.  What is wrong?  Motherboard?  Why?

This guy on these forums sounds like same exact issue I got

Did you check the inputs on your motherboard? They might've shorted or gotten loose or frayed or something

HGL has some ex-North employees on it's staff, and it looks a lot like a Diablo 3

What do you think?

Not that I agree entirely with Linus or am supporting any of brew's argument, but I read this a while back and thought I'd throw this in here. Enjoy  8).

You understand that that post was made in reference to a topic about Git... which, coincidentally, is a component of the linux kernel

LoLWuT?

O.o do you have a magic keyboard? where the pressure applied to your keys is applied to your code?

that's the only way i can think of for you to misunderstand that...

Stop talking plz, I mean, it's not as though I support Warrior, but come on, you're bloody annoying

In fact, you should immediately close your account, that would be best

C is there for it's simplicity and it's ability to mess about with low level tasks. It's silly to presume it would be as effective as say C#, C++, or even Python in industry. C is good, maybe even the best for low level errands and arenas where you require control over every minute detail of your application's operation, but it too quickly becomes excessively verbose and excessively complex to be viable. C is simply not in a position to compete with other more powerful languages available. Programmer time is expensive, and few employers are likely to want to pay through the nose for some vaunted idea of productivity and functionality that has been proven false countless times in the commercial realm.

Computer Support Issues / Re: Router Help

Ok, i have a linksys WRT54GL v1.1 router running custom dd-wrt standard v23 final sp2 firmware
almost everything works fine. the first problem i get on any firmware i have used (linksys default, dd-wrt and tomato and even on my old router)
my pppoe keeps going out randomly and my internet modem doesn't show any problems. (i have sbc yahoo dsl elite package). attempting to use rp-pppoe instead.

my old router is a linksys wrt54g v6.0

all information regarding my routers can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G

I use the WRT54G, and I think it would be best for you to use the latest version of the supported firmware. I haven't tried DD-WRT, but I have tried Thibor and OpenWrt, and I have to tell you, they suck hardcore.

General Discussion / Re: My Desktop Build...

If you're going to get more than 2GB, might as well get 2x 2GB sticks. Dual channeling your RAM is very quite best for your machine, unless you manage to find that elusive 1536 module

You folks understand that if you were initially invited to the beta, you automatically got an invite to the EU one too, right?
