A Diablo 3 demo will be given out at the BlizzCon Oct 28-29!
I got this information from a person who has the inside Blizzard info. I myself would still classify this as a rumor but this person has never failed me before on this sort of stuff when it came to other Blizzard games that were not public and in development.
Edit -> It will be a beta card that will be given out to test Diablo 3.

That source probably wasn't as reliable as the person who told Invert. I think I know who, but not sure. If so, it's someone who was around here [or still is].

The north team was moved down south and some people that worked for the north did not want to move so they quit. Some people quit before the move and started another company.

Mmm. TehNet...
I don't know if I'd buy Diablo three... What amazing features will it have that makes it better then playing WoW? :-\
If it has free online play, I'm for it :P
Wonder how many people from WoW they will loose when they release d3.
(edit: Same question for if they ever release SC2)

What if D3 will be an MMO? They would not care if you play WoW or D3 in that case. :)
*hopes D3 is going to be free*
If D3 is an MMO, I'll probably switch to that.

Mmmm...Starcraft 2, I may just have an orgasm. Imagine if they do that! How many players will be lost from all games around the world.
Starcraft 2 would take over lives.
Since when has any of us had a life?
I belive Bizzard can't do much more with Starcraft due to the owners of Warhammer 40k having a lawsuit against Blizzard because apperently they stole almost the entire zerg race from it. </slander>

Now that.. would take a LOT of people away.

No it would not. To some people the "world of Warcraft" does not appeal as much as the "world of Diablo". How can gaining more players be counter productive? You think that all those millions of WoW players are going to drop their WoW account and come play Diablo?
Ok so the post wasn't acceptable, so I'll change it to this:
I've noticed in every Blizzard game, you can tell if there is going to be another game. You play the campaigns and you can tell, but I doubt diablo 3 could ever be. Considering the hunt is over, there are no bosses.
The prime evils are gone. - duh - no more Diablo.
But heck I could be wrong. Only the future has the answers.

Man, I hate Diablo. Compared to WoW, Diablo has nothing, never had anything close to something worthwhile. It's so banal, point, click, point, click.
It gets repetitive, to the point where you want to take your mousecord and strangle yourself.
All games get boring after awhile though.
Would it not be neat if they made D3 a RTS?

Beta-Test Access Code
In addition to making you the proud owner of a bouncing baby murloc, the souvenir gift card you receive will also contain an access code for an upcoming Blizzard beta test. Once you receive the card, you'll be able to visit a Blizzard Web site, enter the code, and sign up to be contacted when the upcoming beta test is ready for you to join. Hmmm...
It seems to me that the Diablo storyline is pretty much dead. I mean, you killed him, he came back, you killed him again, you killed his BROTHERS -- what's next, his third cousin Jim the Angry Driver?
That's what I've been saying!
Anyways I believe that might be for Starcraft Ghost. Since its still under-development.
It could be for D3 or it could be for the new WoW expansion. I would not think it's for StarCraft Ghost since it's a console game.
What if it's a MMO? Would that still be beating a dead horse? What if it will be an RTS?
Who knows, this is just a good rumor and it might not even be D3.
The better good rumor is that Diablo 3 may be restarted from scratch with the nice restructuring of all but half of a dozen people leaving Blizzard North.
Count on the BlizzCon beta to be the WoW expansion. Starcraft: Ghost is a console game, that won't be a Beta, and dear god the sooner they finish that stupid game the better.
I am interested to see how Diablo 3 turns out, and the story line.

The dead horse IMO is the storyline. It would be difficult -- albeit clearly not impossible -- for Blizzard to pack any more story into the D2 universe IMO, since they wrapped it up so nicely over the first 2 games and their expansions.

I don't know why... But for every game before I play online, I do the campaigns first.
Stealth, they ended the story line at the end of Diablo as well. Maybe it was mentioned in Hellfire, but IIRC, there was no reference to him plunging the soulshard into his own head until the Diablo II Introduction.

The ending video in d1 shows him jamming the shard into his skull, if you look at images of diablo in d2 you can see that shard still is stuck there.
The soulstone was a bit, big. I don't know how he survived that, like half a cannon ball going half way into your brain, must of felt something tingle.
Then again its a game...Anythings possible.
But hey, I don't remember baals soulstone being destroyed at hellforge... or was it? I havent played diablo for a good year or two now. All I remember is Tyrael destroying the World Stone or w/e it was.
