Hello, I am searching for a person who can code a bot that will work on a unix/windows enviroment (java).

The bot is highly complex and needs to be very stable.

If you would like more information on the job, Email me at [email protected] or aim me at Glexia MikeW

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Depending on your reasoning, why not just use JavaOp?

Glexia

We require a much more complex bot than that. Many different features.

Post what you need to be done, most people will be willing to do it for free..

Why not? It could be a fun and educational project.

Adv Mike W: Here's how it works.

Adv Mike W: The bots are going to be hosted on 3 dedicated linux servers at datacenters located across the country

Adv Mike W: Now, we have five channels for our clan

Adv Mike W: Each channel has what's called a "Master Channel Bot"

Adv Mike W: Then the main channel has the "Master Bot" which is resposible for all the sub "master channel bots"

Adv Mike W: Inside each cahnnel we have 7 shamans

Adv Mike W: Which are the "Interbots" or "Slavebots" for the "Master Channnel Bot"

Adv Mike W: The Master channel bot runs that paritcular channel making all the determintions to ban users etc... and they send the commansds though some sort of interbot network to the subbots

Nothing extreamly hard. Just takes skill and some tweaking.
And lots and lots of patience.
I'm sure if everyone chipped in this could be a community project.

Whats really funny is this:(17:53:04) Adv Mike W: I'm going to pay you 300$ at least
;) I doubt that I would even accept such a large ammount for something like this, atleast untill I actually get into a programming position.

The bot will also require support for STAR/SEXP and Warcraft III.

I was going to take the job, however I didn't want to fiddle with Warcraft III stuff just yet.

Basically it seems like you're looking to use BotNet to communicate between the bots. Anyone with good knowledge of Java and a copy of JavaOp source code could get that up and running in the form of a plugin in > 3hrs.

Perhaps he doesn't want his bot to be using open source code?

I talked with him on AIM. Sounds like he would want to have a bot made without opensource procedures. You can also use a language other than Java, as long as your software will compile on *nix.
