According to my parents, there's a law governing leaving the country under the age of 16, without a parent or legal gaurdian. Would it be possible to give temporary gaurdianship to a youth pastor, so that I could go to Nicaragua with him as my 'parent'?

#1 This doesn't have anything to do w/political discussion
#2 Talk to a lawyer

A temporary guardian ad litem kinda thing might be what you want, I'm not sure exactly, though.

Politics include laws, IMO.

No US law prevents you from leaving the country without your parents.  However to obtain a passport both parents of a minor must give expressed written consent.  Also I am not entirely sure how you think your getting to Nicaragua but its not on a plane leaving from the US.

Yeah that's not a law. They have groups where they take kids out of the country at younger than 16.

Maybe your parents just don't want you to go so they made it up.

If you want to have some fun, while you're at the border, whisper to the border guard (or hold up a sign), saying "I've been kidnapped".  I think it'd be fun, anyways :)

I think if he said he had a bomb on him it'd be more comical for the rest of us.
