All you gotta do is put in a jack. I mean just score a nice little hold (does not even have to be a full rectangle) and maybe get out the dremmil and then cut it out. Then take a pin and poke it through your floor and if you can see where it comes out downstairs... hopefulyl by the wall where the router is or something conveiniant like that. Then just drill another damn hole down there and drop the cable down through the wall and pull it out at the bottom. Then put nice little covers over the holes and you are done. Of course you probably will have complications, like your room probably is not right over the router or something like this. You might have to run cat5 into the attic and then down into the house. This can be a pain in the ass but it can lok nice and professional... it will just take a few hours to do. But this is why God invented the wireless router.

But all that being said, this doe snot explain why your network has to be so damn complicated. Just have it like mine, get one router that has ports and is wireless and then put all the pcs on it, why can't one do that?

I've not had very good results with any form of wireless. I don't know if it's the range or the layout of the house or what, but it doesn't work well for my setup. My mom is the only one that still uses it, and she still gets drops every few hours or so.

Besides, I would take wired over wireless anyday, just for the added security.

The only time our wireless goes out is if something happens and it unplugs from the main router, or if I drop it or something(because it used to sit right next to me) but when it did go out it would be out for several hours at a time.

I haven't experienced being dropped from my wireless router yet. :)

Yeah! I should have indicated that I set "Darkside" as the DMZ Host, so pretty much all traffic/attacks hit him.  So far, he seems ok :)
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

Yeah because it's easier then opening Paint/Gimp (whatever), making the image, uploading then posting it.

Agreed.  So STFU faggots with the talent to make images.  :'(

Whats so hard about paint? You draw a rectangle, a textbox, and then a couple of lines.

You guys are just lazy. It took me minutes to make that image. All I did was took a screen shot and got an image from image search and put some text into paint.
