Python sounds like a good language to develop in, just not system developing.

Why don't you stop being American and start acting like a decent human?

It truly is...especially for what a lot of you guys do (battle.net apps). It has incredible network and gui libraries, and you can distribute a graphical installer and exe file.

Warrior

It seems to have a lot of libraries to help along the way. Any suggestions for an IDE?

I just use Pythonwin, but you might like boa-constructor (http://boa-constructor.sf.net). At school I use IDLE, which often gets the job done for me. For 90% of the things I do, IDLE suits my needs... I just prefer Pythonwin. I don't even use its debugger.

Yegg

I use Pythonwin as well. For an interface I use wxPython. Even though with Boa you can drag and drop objects onto your program, I still prefer having to do all of that manually (setting item location, size, etc.).

Psycho

Hmm.....

Visual Basic
C/C#
Assembly
HTML
PHP
CSS
mySQL
Learning Java

iNsAnE-MS

I know these pretty well:

VB (like most people)
C and C++

I don't completely know these, but I'm familiar with them (I dabble a lot :P):

x86 Assembly (looking for a good tutorial!!! -.-)
SQL
J[ava][script] (die in a fire Java, DIE)
HTML
CSS
PHP

Compilers I used to make love to back in the day:
Borland C++ 3.1 (many good times we had together, ahh)
QuickBasic
QBasic (even though it was only an interpreter)
debug (the classic dos/windows assembler haha)

Do you ever look at the date of the last post?

That doesn't justify bringing up outdated topics.

That post wasn't locked, but you shouldn't post there, because it's an old topic.....

The 22nd and the 18th isn't that bad compared to some of the stuff revived here. Besides it's not like he spammed or anything, he contributed to the topic.

He revived a bunch of old topics, not just 1.

Sorry, I didn't know that was such a problem, I suppose I'll just make this my last post then and not come back.
