Article is interesting, although a bit light on technical details. Looks like they did the whole thing with hooks and code injection.

Nice.

Really? Never tried it. What's wrong with it?

I played old betas.  They had terrible synchronization/lag programs (people were in the wrong places, people looked different, etc), and most "fun" elements (pedestrians, missions, etc) were removed.  It was also quite unbalanced -- there was one Apache helicopter, and whoever got it was basically invincible.

That was, however, a couple betas ago.  It's possible they've improved it.
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

It's boring. When I played it, all we did was drive around and run into each other. It'd be cool if, like talked about here before, there were rival gangs (clans) and they fought each other or whatever and if you weren't in a gang then you need to join one or something like that.

Master_Nabo

It sounds like a good idea, but as previously stated, without extended gameplay made especially for multiplayer, it would get boring fast.

Blaze

I have this installed, but I agree, if they had gang wars it would be much much much better.
