you don't download from one server, on torrents i believe, it's from many users at once.  not sure, i'm new to torrents

Torrents are absolutely the best way to waste your bandwidth.  I max out constantly with them.  People download parts from you while you are downloading from them/others.  It's really nice.  It's open source and cross-platform, too.

yes, when it's running it my cable runs so slow - Time to go, and time to start it since cable dropped last night while finishing download

ok, having no affect on cable downloading is not the problem. Now start sharing your wow files with everyone else and lets see you have free upload bandwidth.

yes i agree its dumb to download you have to upload at the same time usually sending it to more people then you are receiving just stick to irc

Most of what you get is from partners, though.. you trade bit-for-bit with others, so the faster you're uploading the faster you can download.  It's fair!

How about no? i rather stick with something lame like kazaa then this even it's better and probably faster but irc is the best route unless your going direct with a person

I have no idea what you just said.  

Maybe he means that he's stubborn and stupid and won't switch from his crappy thing to something that is better in every way?

When I used the torrent system I uploaded at 45kb and downloaded at 10kb.

You can limit upload speed, too.  "-maxupload 10" or something like that
