IBM and HP offer computers preloaded with linux. Callor go to their sites for more info. Mandrake also offers a external HDD with mandrake preloaded on it so you can run linux from any computer you want:

For UNIX there's:

The Trotter thing was badass, but do you know where I can find a full computer (monitor, hardrive etc) with a Linux or Unix on it? I just can't find anything, I would prefer not to use a bootdisc.

But, it's so much easier to just download any distro form linuxiso.org or buy a copy from http://www.linuxcd.org/ if your connection is to slow. If you decide to do that I can point you to a few good tutorials on installing SusE or slackware.

Holy crap, that is expensive, and I'm not looking for a laptop I think I'll buy the globetrotter program, or what do you recommend?
Hey thanks for your help man.

Are you looking to buy a new computer? If not what are the specs of your current computer? You could just dual boot linux. Like I said you can get any distro you want from www.linuxiso.org and it's free. It's only gonna cost you a cd or two.

Yeah I know, I am looking for a new computer that's why I was asking for a pre-install or a Unix.
If there was a cleanslate computer where I could just boot a Linux on that, that would be nice. Or somthing..

Meh

Pretty much any computer will take Linux. Its free to download aswell. Not many companys pre-install Linux/ Unix as most people want windows. Just get a computer with no OS and get Linux then install.

I am assuming your in the USA. Im from britain and we have a magazine called MicrMart. It has ads from computer shops. If you have a magazine similar in USA then look in that. Otherwise go to your local computer shop and tell them what you want, or go to an online shop like www.ebuyer.com and gt the parts to build your own. Its not hard to build one at all and will be cheaper than buying a pre built 1.

Ya, I don't know why I didn't think of this, seriously.

Thanks guys for the help.
I'm running away from Windows now! :P

If you get a computer with Windows, and don't use it, you can technically take Windows back to the store and tell them you don't agree with their EULA.

The problem with Linux is that the installation is very customizable to people with different tastes.  There are many distributions, and when you install them you have a big choice of packages.  Installing it yourself is probably the best idea.
