You know where to find me. I play under the alias Buju and mostly stick to TDM matches.

Does it really matter what engine they use? Halflife is based off the quake I engine, and that's one of the best games, ever. The engine doesn't matter, it's the game itself that does.

Are you on crack?

brent

half life was based off the quake 1 engine but it looks and plays significantly different from quake 1, does it not? that is because valve rewrote most of it and 70% is new code (http://www.cdmag.com/articles/013/166/half_life.html)

on the other hand, call of duty is probably 5% new code and it looks and feels exactly like quake 3, jedi knight 2, medal of honor etc.

effect

So doesnt that mean your getting the game play of 3 games for the price of 1?

i'm saying if you buy 3 of the quake 3 engine based games you're getting 1 game for the price of 3. i apologize if i wasn't very clear.

Obviously you haven't played the game for any length of time. Call of Duty is built on a *highly* modified RTCW engine. It neither looks or feels like Quake 3. Compare screenshots of Call of Duty and Medal of Honour. You'll be hard pressed to tell me they don't look very different.
