How many integers can you make using any number of arithmetic operations and four 4s? Keep going as long as you can.
     ie: 1 = (4/4) + (4-4) ; 2 = (4/4) + (4/4), ...

300 = (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4) + (4/4)

Too many 4s.

Yoni

300 = 4^4 + 44

Made a few others but they got deleted by accident

iago

4 + 4 - 4 + 4 = 0
4 - 4 + 4 - 4 = 0

w00t!

4 + 4 - 4 + 4 = 0

That looks like 8, chief.  ;D
+4 +4 -4 +4 = 8.

lol, you're right.  I was mentally inserting brackets:
(4 + 4) - (4 + 4)
Which IS 0 :P

Adron

And now, note that you can write
4+4+4+4!, 4+4+4+4!!, 4+4+4+4!!!, and then stop and think about how many integers you can make using four 4's and any number of arithmetic operations.

Good one :)

UserLoser.

We did some game last year in my Geometry class where there were two teams.  The first team to get 100 equations (where the first one results in 1, second = 2, and so on..) using like either 2 or 4 arithmetic operations and the same numbers, won... I forgot exactly, but I know my team lost :(
