What is a good program to edit java applets or decompile them or whatever to change the java applet? or just change the applet around to fit your needs and such or because its gay you wanna make it better

Netbeans suckkks, go eclipse if you don't need guis, or JBuilder if you do.

If you're learning, use JCreator.

I've heard IDEA is good but I've never used it.

Also, you can never go wrong with Emacs or Scintilla + a command prompt.

I like Elipse, and I use it to make guis (doing Swing by hand ownz).  And vi/vim > Emacs :P
