Windows 98 CDKey

Ok, here's the story:

I was helping my grandpa's friend with his Windows ME install, which ate itself.  He has a "System Restore" disk which came with his computer, which I assumed would put the original image on the computer.  Turns out, all it did was format/install Windows 98.  And it doesn't come with a cdkey.  So now I'm stuck till I find a key.  And I'm rather annoyed at his computer's manufacturer.

Incidentally, it's a P2 350mhz with 64mb ram, so Windows 98 is probably the best possible version I can install.

I know that almost everybody has a dusty old copy of Windows 98 laying around.  Would somebody mind PMing me an unused cdkey that they have?

if you get another 64mb you can put w2k3 on there  .

Well, Windows xp will _install_ on 64mb, but it wouldn't really run :-/

I believe iago. asked people to PM him the CD key for Windows 98....  not 6 different packages.... :-P

Ok, There all old anyways, no idea how old. Just had a list of them sitting around figured why not share the wealth.

He called Microsoft's 1-800 number, and they gave him one.  Thanks to everybody anyway
