UPDATE 12:07 UTC 2004-09-22:

The problem is fixed and BNLS is updated with the latest version check files for Warcraft III/The Frozezn Throne.

Mostly for Yoni: The new patch format AND the new MPQ format are now supported by the patcher, so it should be easy to update W3/W3XP again in the future (really, this time).

UPDATE 07:28 UTC 2004-09-21:

As of approximately 5AM UTC, BNLS is rejecting version check requests for Warcraft III/The Frozen Throne.  This is temporary and is expected to be resolved within several hours.

You should be able to log on using BNLS with these products once again.

Mostly for Yoni:

Additionally, I fixed the Warcraft III patcher on the server (finally!) so that it'll be less of a pain to update the Warcraft III files in the future (thanks to Quantam for letting me borrow his API for reading single block compressed MPQs).

Is this only for The Frozen Throne?

I'm trying to log onto Reign of Chaos.

Thanks Skywing and Yoni for your hard work!

After 3 years, it's on the horizon.  The new JinxBot, and BN#, the managed Battle.net Client library.

what was the problem -.-?

Well, Warcraft III was updated from 1.16 to 1.17, so I'd say there was a new patch

Did you guys use my hash files?

I just wanted to feel like I made a difference, although you probably wouldn't trust files posted from some random forum member.

I think they uploaded the patch MPQ file, which then BNLS extracted and properly updated the required files

I doubt they're using your hash files, but file security isn't a serious concern.  Since the files' contents are read, but not executed, the only risk associated with randomly chosen files is that they will be malformed and not produce the correct checksums.
