Well, looks like I am switching to a laptop. Too many problems with this computer. Anyways I am getting a Dell Inspiron 9100 or something like that, it can be seen at www.Dell.ca click on "home and office" then go to the laptop section. It's supposively the second "best" out of the laptops they have. So this is what I am getting;

Pentium® 4 3.2GHz, 15.4-in. WUXGA Pentium 4 processor

Windows XP Professional (Mom is getting same computer as me and we are setting up a network, reason why we are getting Pro is because one of the employees said it was good for networks. I'm going to read up on the differences before I buy it though.)

128MB ATI™ Mobility Radeon™ 9700

1 GB DD RSD RAM

24X CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive with Sonic RecordNow

98 WHr Primary Battery

138 WHr 16-cell Secondary Battery (Maybe)

100 GB HD

Actually my mom and I aren't getting the same computer, more like the stats. She will probably be getting 512 RAM and a cheaper video card.

I'd definatley go with the extra battery if you plan to be using it away from a plug often, with a desktop processor like that you're looking at probably 3-4 hours of battery life.

100GB in a laptop?   I guess I should be keeping up on laotop hardware specs...

Yeah, in the summer I plan to do a lot of traveling because we got a nice RV :P Plus even if the battery dies out, we have a generator so I can hook it up and charge, and use!
