It's using some form of Windows, that's bad enough :P

And if you don't like it, stop using BNLS.  You can run a JBLS server locally :)

Hi iago, I dont use BNLS at all as I prefer local hasing, as for Windows vs Linux on hosting or networking, personally I dont network or host and dont have a strong opinion, my previous post was just poking fun. Since switching to Linux and open source software recently I can personally say I enjoy Linux (RedHat 9.0) over Windows (2000 and XP) because it is just generally stable from my judgement, it's definitly not for everybody though.

JBLS is simple, though: run it, connect, close it.  You can set the BNLS server on a lot of bots nowadays, so just running JBLS with the server set to 127.0.0.1/localhost is enough, you don't actually have to try and find a JBLS server.

If you're going to do all that, why not just put the code into the bot itself? Seems sort of silly to run a logon-generation server locally.

Yes, you can't have everybody...contributing to the main source repository.  That would be stupid and create chaos.

Opensource projects...would be dumb.

Because most people don't have the source code to the bot they are using (IE: StealthBot).
However, if the bot is not in Java, the porting of JBLS could take a long while.

It took me somewhere in the vicinity of one day to successfully port iago's Java logon procedure. It doesn't take a "long while" at all.

True, but you're also a lot smarter than the average bot programmer.
