This is a retarted qustion, but im sick of using trial programs to take ScreenShots. So...Would anyone have any ideas as to why my "PrtScrn" button wouldn't be working ?

Maybe your keyboard is broken. What OS are you on?

You can use the free program "import", which comes with the ImageMagick package.  From a commandline, you type "import -window root <filename.jpg>" to get the full screen, or you can use "import <filename.jpg>" then drag your mouse at what you want.  There are a ton of commnds, I suggest you look at the manpage for more information.

Of course, i'm assuming you're using Linux.
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

i assume windows because hes on a trial app.

perhaps you dont know how prntscrn works?

Mitosis

If you think that a screen shot just pops up when you press the button...you're sadly mistaken. Press the button then open up paint and press Ctrl+V...that copies it.  If you are on OS X then you can use "Grab it".

That indicates (to me at any rate) that he knows how to use it. I'm sure he appreciates the advice Mitosis.

Do you have a F Lock key on your keyboard?
If so, you may need to toggle it.
That sucking sound you hear is my bandwidth.

That's a good one. I have never seen such a keyboard, but I've figured out by telephone that a customer had one of those once. Tech support can be so fun...
