This bug affects programs that allocate memory frequently (fortunately, this only affects 99.9% of all programs). :)
This patch (which is currently only available for a price via a phone call to Microsoft tech support as haze said) will be included in SP2. Nobody knows when SP2 will be released. (At least, I don't know. Correct me if someone does know.)

Windows XP owns, doesn't it?
My offerred solution is: Upgrade to Windows 2000.
