Bad Details

Why is it that, my frigin icons in my systrey look all fucked up, there is on detail they look mangled and like they are 4-bit colors. I run T22 tihnkpad with correct video drivers at the correct 1024x768... how do i fix this problem wtf? Sorry for the 567k file its a bmp..

What's wrong with it, besides them being 4 bit?  IIRC, on <Win2K, system tray icons are 4 bit (16 colors), otherwise they're 8 bit (256 colors).

Edit - If you're >=Win2K, you may have video driver configured wrong.

I run windows 2k prof.. but IIRC my other 600E thinkpad didnt have shitty systray detail..   how could I fix this?

try resetting the setting maybe something happened or sometrhing my icons look sweet as always and i run win2k

Are all your icons displayed in 16 colors? If so, there's a setting for it in display properties. Otherwise, I don't know. I can't tell if my systray icons are 4-bit or not, not such a big difference for tiny icons.

I don't think that they are -- the quicklaunch strip suggests otherwise.

But, that setting is under Display -> Appearance -> Effects -> (checkbox) Display Icons using Maximum Possible Colors (or something like that).
