Doesn't this make you wonder what sisidex does, and how serious the company is?

hmm, yes. Perhaps it's an oversight? Could email Microsoft and ask...

I think it's an IDE driver from SiS.

And my point was that they're shipping a driver that was compiled from a presumably slightly modified source sample from Microsoft, that they didn't even bother renaming the project / files (they did rename the compiled file, but it still has the sample module name), and finally, they installed the ifs kit in the TEMP directory?

How serious development is installing your development tool in the TEMP directory and not even renaming the sample before compiling it?

ugh@sis.  My laptop is mostly SiS hardware, and it's such a headache getting drivers/support.
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

i have a PC running (mostly) on SiS technology , i have had some compatibility issues with XP with some of there drivers , other then that everything has been fine (Including finding support and infomation pertaining to my problem)

Microsoft has never answered any emails I sent them concerning security issues last year.
