Graphical Problem

I bought "Crazy Taxi" for PC (it was dirt cheap), made by SEGA, but when I try to play the game, whenever anything 3d is displayed the polygons are totally messed up.  The colors are right, but the vertexes are completely wrong.  I've played with all the game settings, but nothing changes, and I can't find any information about this/patches for the game online.

Here's a screenshot:

Anybody know why this happens or if there's any way to fix it?

(my assumptions at this point are: video card problem/no way without changing hardware.  But I easily meet the requirements on the box).

That happened in GTA Vice City with a geforce, 5200 I think, before upgrading to the latest graphics drivers.

Oh man. Don't tell me you got a FX 5200, Adron.  :-\

Brother has a FX, not sure which model, but I think it might have been 5200. And he loves GTA Vice City. That was the first game he tried, before updating drivers.

I know someone with a GeForce FX 5200 and he's had no end of crashing and other compatibility problems with it...

Aha, I updated my drivers (I forgot I had formatted a couple week ago; I HAD the newest drivers when I had XP!) and it works now.

Thanks a bunch!

(I'll leave this thread/the image around; the more people who see it the better, I figure)

While were on the subject of Video Cards and screwed up graphics...

I play some games (namely StarWarsGalaxies), which when run for awhile, will cause textures to be lost (I'm assuming). What happens is all shapes will remain, but the colours/textures (like on buildings, or peoples heads mostly) will become green, purple and similar colours. I'm running a Radeon 9700 with the latest drivers (updated... 2 weeks ago(?) and those were fairly new drivers).

I thought it was overheating but I leave my case off so I'd be able to feel it... And I also thought it could be faulty memory but it only occurs in SWG.

Any thoughts?
