Why is it that the counter-strike auto updater program thinks my internet connection is invalid? Is there a new auto updater for XP, or something? I'm using the default one off of the retail install cd.

No, I have no steam. I've tried two of the mirrors on fileplanet to get the CS 1.6 installer, and they both timed out at about %38. Do you know of another source that I could get it from?

That name doesn't sound familiar, either.
