iago

A bot that connects directly to the server on its own.  I talked myself into a corner the first time I mentioned it, so leave me alone! :P
This'll make an interesting test for broken AV:

I would consider the authorization server part of the Battle.net login system and not third-party if your situation were true.

Like I said, I stopped making sense.  :P

Just because it isn't public doen't mean that it does not exist. It might just be harder or impossible to acquire.

I guess you to follow the same examples as getting cdkeys, go infaltrate blizzard, get an ex-bnet programmer to help you, etc... Otherwise I dont think they will email you the source (i already tried).

OR -- you could do what BlueDragonBOD did to acquire the nbbot source code from Blizzard.

Bringing up ancient Battle.net history, eh? :p

The reference seems to be lost on everyone but you and I.

I wouldn't be surprised if referencing NBBot would be lost on most people here.

I know what NBBot is, but the rest is lost on me :)

So what exactly DID BlueDragonBOD do to get the NBBot source?

That's a very good question with a very interesting answer.

Grok

It remains one of the most interesting segments of battle.net history.  A story well-worth hearing.

Adron

Well, at least it was cleverer than psy.
