This would be extremely easy to test.

Password length is irrelevant because passwords are hashed.

After 3 years, it's on the horizon.  The new JinxBot, and BN#, the managed Battle.net Client library.

The CLIENTS, however impose their limits.  Test.
Grif: Yeah, and the people in the red states are mad because the people in the blue states are mean to them and want them to pay money for roads and schools instead of cool things like NASCAR and shotguns.  Also, there's something about ketchup in there.

He asked about servers, not clients.

I assumed that he meant the longest a password can be for Battle.Net, not neccessarily limited by Battle.Net.  I answered the question as though he knew Battle.Net doesn't give a flying shit.

It's longer than 14 characters, at least; most of my accounts on bnet have passwords of that length.

sigh.  The password is hashed, there is no limit on the length of your password.

Simple things like this separate the newbs from the people who know what they're talking about

Theoretically he is correct. Since a password has no length, then it can be "at least" longer than "14 characters".

Wtf are you talking about?  That's like comparing infinity to a quantity.  It doesn't make rational sense.

Wasn't supposed to make "rational sense". Just felt like saying it  :P.
